How's She Stay So Fresh? PICS Of Performer JOEY ARIAS From Now And Back In The Day!

Arias With a Twist Joey Arias

Joey Arias just keeps on going and going… After living in Las Vegas for several years (and starring as the MC of Cirque de Soleil’s racy extravaganza Zumanity), the drag crooner is back in NYC with a new show—Arias With A Twist, co-starring a whole mess of puppets by master-of-his-craft Basil Twist.

Joey also pops up in a new book of photos of NYC’s bygone bohemian scene, shot by longtime scenester Bobby Miller (whose previous book is a great documentation of Studio 54).

From the book, Joey with the artist Collette.

Here’s another photo from Night Magazine, circa 1978, of Joey (on the floor in a jumpsuit) with his co-workers at the then-swinging Fiorucci boutique on 59th Street.

By the way, color film did exist back then.  But B&W makes everything look so much more historical, don't you think?
