"And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you ever knew…"
Where: The Stonewall Bar in Greenwich Village
When: This past weekend.
What: For the second year in a row, the once-in-a-while bash Victoria paid homage to the beloved sitcom The Golden Girls. The party glorifies female female impersonators—“faux queens”—and was awash with Roses, Dorothys, Blanches and Sophias and their devoted admirers.
Victoria co-promoter Cherelynore flawlessly channeling Bea Arthur

Victoria's other promoter, Queens Marie, in Sophia drag, along with performer Margo Channing

Laryssa and Alexia got into the act

Another Sophia get-up from Queens Marie

Sixty-nine-year old bellydancer Susie Q evoked the spirit and spunk of the GGs

Lavinia Co-op opted for pure glamour

Claire de Loon turned it out!

Sophia mania!

Daniel (winner of the Rose Nylund lookalike contest!!!) flanked by pals John and Teah

Syditious from the drag alliance Switch N' Play admires Margo's Liza look

Coco (a.k.a. Black Bea) and Cherelynore

Thank you for being a friend!

Golden Girls goes gay!

As the clock neared 4am, My Comrade editor Linda Simpson (That's me!—I hosted the party's show) moseyed down Christopher Street with Daniel and John to the Hanger Bar for a nightcap.

Bartender Jack was a golden guy!

What a fabulous night, pussycat!
