One year ago today, the good times at NYC hotspot Mr. Black came to a crashing halt when cops raided the club in search of illegal drugs and hauled more than 30 employees and customers off to the klink.
Only one employee was charged with wrong-doing, but the club went on hiatus until June when it reopened in a new location. Almost the entire staff came back on board, and tonight the gang is commemorating the raid’s anniversary with a cheeky jail-themed party, Precinct 49 (the regular Friday party is called Gary 49).
“Rather than hide out, we're embracing the experience wholeheartedly,” proclaims the evite.
Partygoers are requested to wear stripes or prison looks as a “show of solidarity,” while various staff members have posed for mug-shot party flyers.
Very authentic looking! Practice makes perfect?
