Today in New York and many other cities, thousands take to the streets for the annual march to make marijuana legal.
The event comes days after a new report revealed over 400,000 people were arrested in NYC for small amounts of pot between 1997 to 2007!
The great majority of arrests were of Black and Latin young men.
According to the report, the law enforcement crusade cost $90 million in tax money! It also notes that cracking down on pot users is an easy way for the police to inflate arrest statistics.
You don’t have to be a marijuana advocate to realize that the entire policy is a complete travesty.
Hey idiot politicians, stop wasting our hard-earned cash!
