Your Social Calendar for May 17th and 18th - Manhattan, Brooklyn, San Francisco

SATURDAY, MAY 17th

The band that everyone's buzzing about, Hercules and Love Affair, performs at Studio B in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.  (The show is sold out, but we just gotta mention it 'cause My Comrade editor Linda Simpson is emceeing!)  Pictured below is the group's founder, Andy Butler, and band member Kim Ann Foxman.

SATURDAY, MAY 17th and SUNDAY, MAY 18th

This weekend is your last chance to catch Gilbert & George's retrospective at San Francisco's de Young Museum. The inseparable collaborators have been creating art together since the 1960s.

SUNDAY, MAY 18th

The annual AIDS Walk kicks off again from NYC's Central Park.  It is truly heartening to see so many thousands of people—all races, ages and sexual orientations—banding together to help combat a damn disease that just won't go away.

SUNDAY, MAY 18th

The monthly Latin fiesta Escandalo Nights presents another installment at the animal-print-loving El Morocco Nightclub in NYC's Washington Heights, featuring lots and lots of spicy go-go dancers.

The flavor is Dominican.
